Facility Plans

KickStart provides Room and Facility planning as part of our comprehensive services. We've selected a small range of sample room plans to display here. Simply click the links below to take a look at each plan.

Each of these samples represents an actual client facility designed by KickStart and currently in use. Hopefully, these will give you some ideas about how you want to configure your own facility.

Of course, every facility differs in terms of mission, available space, budget, target population, etc. That's why KickStart also offers a free initial room planning consultation for prospective clients. If you are seriously considering opening or expanding a kids fitness/activity facility, and if you have a good idea about your budget, floorspace, and a general vision for your facility, please feel free to submit a Facility Planning Form:

If you're still in the early planning (or daydreaming!) stages, and want to know more about setting up a facility, check out our FAQ and Discussion board. Also, take a look at the Blog and blog archives, where we address a wide range of topics related to kids fitness and fitness facilities.

Floor Plans

Commercial Kids Gym
6000 sq ft
This Plan offers a Gym environment for Kids Ages 6 and up. The goal for the space is to cater to all ages of school aged children up through high school.
Middle School Fitness Center
1800 sq ft
This school had the benefit of a larger space that was available for a fitness center. Large classes sizes enjoy a mix of traditional strength equipment with current interactive trends.
Commercial Kids Gym
2700 sq ft
Space is a commodity and very expensive - but even smaller spaces can offer full-featured programs with a little creativity. This floor plan optimizes all the space available and offers options, options, options.
Elementary Fitness  Center
900 sq ft
A 24 ft by 40 ft “Portable Class room” can accommodate a class of 30 students. As most elementary schools have limited access to PE specialists, this room was designed for the average elementary school teacher.
